Capricorn, the Mountain Goat, is serious, disciplined, and quietly ambitious. Their work, reputation, and contributions to society are very important to them. Clear-headed and objective, Capricorn is not influenced by emotions. They tend to be profound thinkers and seekers of knowledge and wisdom. They have excellent concentration and love to debate. They can be authoritarian, relying on strict fairness and showing no mercy. They respect tradition. Even if they don't agree with certain policies, laws, and regulations, they will comply with them or work to change them but never openly disregard them. They prefer to be careful and conservative, playing by the rules.

Capricorn is modest and can sometimes be overly self-critical. They find it hard to give themselves and others permission to be spontaneous, silly, and vulnerable. Underneath all their seriousness, however, Capricorn has a witty personality and a wry sense of humor.

The strong points of people with this Sun sign are their depth and thoroughness, patience, tenacity, and faithfulness. The downside is their tendency to be rigid, inflexible, aloof, and too serious.

Capricorn learns the value of money at an early age. They handle their money well and rarely make frivolous purchases. They usually choose occupations that deal with math or money and make excellent lawyers and accountants. They also do well in the stock market. Frequently they decide on their career path early in life and begin working toward those goals.
